Abstract
An earlier first principle calculation of the Raman Intensity for the cuprate superconductors is generalised to take into acount the finite penetration depth of light in these materials. The intensities are cal culated at finite but small q and at zero temperature. The results pro vide qualitative explanation of the experimental data.
