Abstract
A hydrodynamical model is used to calculate the non-linear wake and st opping power of a moving charge, Z, in an electron ps for intermediate and high velocities (upsilon greater-than-or-qual-to 1.5upsilon(B)). In this work, the non-linear hydrodynamic equations for the induced de nsity in the electron ps are expanded in a perturbation series in powe rs of the nuclear charge, Z, and solved to second order in Z. Results for the induced second-order potential and the Z3-stopping power are g iven for an electron ps simulating aluminum.
