Abstract
X-ray diffraction data recorded with a four-circle diffractometer prov e that BaLiF3 is one of the rare example of inverted perovskite. The l ow frequency phonon spectrum is investigated by inelastic neutron scat tering and the whole spectrum is calculated using a rigid ion model. A n estimation of the phonon density of states is deduced.
