DIGITAL SIGNALING FOR PRIVATE MOBILE RADIO (DSPMR)

Mobile radio is an essential tool for many professionals such as the s ecurity forces and emergency services as well as many public and priva te users. The I-ETS 300.230 European standard specifies a 1200 bit/s d igital signalling system. This new standard, also called BIIS1200, all ows fast call setup and introduces extensive voice and data services. Alcatel has developed a new range of products, the Alcatel 9320 DSPMR system, in line with this standard. Through its modular design, the DS PMR meets the needs of small and medium-sized networks as well as wide area networks. This article describes the services and the architectu re of the DSPMR system.
