Abstract
Variational procedures, energy expressions and the minimum energy prin ciple are often difficult steps to introduce in advanced undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electrical Engineering. A simple preamble , relying only on a basic circuit analogy, can be used to overcome the se difficulties and is presented here.
