A 62-year-old woman, treated for a locally advanced breast cancer (St.
III A) of the left breast by radical mastectomy and postoperative reg
ional radiotherapy, five months after the diagnosis of the first neopl
asia, showed and inflammatory breast cancer (St. III B) of the contral
ateral breast, successively treated by chemotherapy. The occurrence, i
n the same patient, of two synchronous primary breast cancers, both ad
vanced at the time of diagnosis, is an uncommon event.
