Abstract
The relationship between the abundance of proteins homologous to the d ehydrin/RAB group of LEAs and seed longevity has been studied in Ranun culus sceleratus L. The presence of these 'dehydrin-like' proteins was not related to increases in seed longevity associated with seed devel opment or priming treatments. Similarly, a drying-induced increase in the amount of 'dehydrin-like' proteins was not accompanied by an impro vement in longevity.
