Rotation velocities of stars and gas in galaxies have been studied ove
r the past 80 years. Only past two decades have we discovered the vast
kinematic complexity that is displayed by stars and some elliptical,
S0, and spiral galaxies. Many of these galaxies contain central cores
with rotation axes or antiparallel to the rotation axes of the disks;
skew and counterrotating outer gas disks are also known. I discuss som
e of these multi-spin galaxies, and their likely formation as merger p
roducts.
