Abstract
MCM-41 samples with different Si/Al ratios have been synthesized, and their stability and acidity characteristics have been studied. It has been shown that MCM-41 is readily dealuminated upon thermal treatment both in air and in N2 atmosphere. After calcination the sample shows a n acidity of medium strength as compared with a USY zeolite. Calcinati on in N2 atmosphere leads to samples with better textural and acid cha racteristics.
