S. Rengakuji et al., A MECHANISTIC CONSIDERATION ON THE ELECTRODEPOSITION OF NI-MO ALLOYS, Denki Kagaku Oyobi Kogyo Butsuri Kagaku, 62(7), 1994, pp. 602-606
The hydrogen overpotential and the number of d-band vacancy of Ni-Mo c
ast alloys were studied in connection with the current efficiency and
maximum molybdenum content in the electrodeposition of Ni-Mo alloys. T
he hydrogen overpotential of the cast alloys of alpha phase decreased
with increasing molybdenum content. The number of d-band vacancy also
decreased with increasing molybdenum content and reached nearly zero a
t 6 at% Mo. From numbers of d-band vacancy and electrochemical propert
ies of Ni-Mo cast alloys with various molybdenum content, the mechanis
m for the electrodeposition of Ni-Mo alloy was discussed.
