Abstract
A simple, inexpensive and pollution free electroless chemical depositi on technique was used to deposit thin coatings of inorganic electrical ly conductive materials (CuxS, x similar to 2, CuS and Cu2Se), microwa ve shielding materials (CuS and Cu2Se) and IR-detecting materials (PbS and PbSe) on transparent polyester films. The technique is based on h ydrolytic decomposition of thiosulfate and selenosulfate complexes of the corresponding metals in aqueous media.
