Abstract
The model of associated mixtures proposed recently (A.T. Treszczanowic z and G.C. Benson, Fluid Phase Equilibria, 23 (1985) 117), for the exc ess volume is used to predict its temperature derivative A(p)E=(partia l derivative V(E)/partial derivative T)p for 1-alkanol + alkane mixtur es. The model parameters estimated for excess volume are adopted. The model predicts the A(p)E values fairly well. The shape and size of A(p )E are discussed as a result of mutual compensation effects of associa tion, non-specific interactions and free volume contributions.
