Abstract
Matrix-based methods for the design of transconductor ladder filters a re presented. These allow the realisation of any bandpass or lowpass p rototype using only one or two values of transconductance. The new met hods are illustrated by experimental results from a 1 MHz elliptic low pass filter, a 400 kHz elliptic bandpass filter, a 400 kHz Chebyshev b andpass filter, and a PLL frequency-control loop, all fabricated in a 1 mum CMOS process.
