To reduce the number of pupils with reading and spelling weaknesses, t
here was developped a prophylactic program, that starts with the entra
nce in primary school. It was tested for several years at 367 children
. Among diem there were also migrant pupils of primary school. The res
ults show, that this concept is practicable at primary schools and lea
ds to clearly better reading and orthographic performance. The effects
are also stable on the pupils over the following years.
