Abstract
The crystal structures of five bis-Schiff base derivatives of 2-acetyl pyrrole with nickel(II), as well as a mixed ligand complex containing one 2-acetylpyrrole Schiff base derivative and one 2-acetylpyrrole mol ecule per nickel(II) centre, have been determined. Nickel(II) mediates Schiff base formation leading to final products, with the stoichiomet ry and structure of each complex dependent on the primary amine used i n the respective syntheses.
