Abstract
Whereas thermolysis of the cluster [Ru3(mu-H)(mu3-pyS)(CO)9] (pyS = py ridine-2-thionato, C5H4NS) in refluxing hexane gave a trimer of trinuc lear clusters, [{Ru3(mu3-H)(mu4-PYS) (CO)7}3], in refluxing n-decane u nder an atmosphere of CO, various hexanuclear clusters were formed of which the compound [Ru6(mu4-S) (mu-SH) (mu3-PYS) (mu-CO)2(CO)15] has b een characterized by X-ray diffraction. The compound consists of two R U3 Units linked by two Ru-Ru bonds and a pyramidal mu4-S ligand.
