Application of Shot Blast Texturing (SBT), Electric Discharge Texturin g (EDT), Electron Beam Texturing (EBT) and Laser Texturing (LT) for th e production of defined work roll surfaces. Temper rolling tests in th e cold mill II of Thyssen Stahl AG. Classification and measurement of steel sheet surfaces. Description of the application of the surface fi ne structure of the roll to the rolled product by the substitute profi le model. Good application of EDT and EBT surfaces in dry temper rolli ng. Lubricant has a negative effect on the application process.
