L. Motte et al., SELF-ORGANIZATION INTO 2D AND 3D SUPERLATTICES OF NANOSIZED PARTICLESDIFFERING BY THEIR SIZE, JOURNAL OF PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY B, 101(2), 1997, pp. 138-144
Self-assembly of silver sulfide, Ag2S, nanoparticles is reported for d
ifferent particles sizes. Monolayers of particles organized in a hexag
onal network an formed over very large domains, Snail or large aggrega
tes can also be produced. The observations indicate that the formation
of self-assemblies of nanoparticles strongly depends on the preparati
on conditions of the samples, It is also shown that in the aggregates
the particles are highly organized and form pseudocrystals with a face
-centered cubic structure for various particles sizes.
