Mm. Alqattan et Rm. Zuker, MANAGEMENT OF ACUTE BURNS OF THE FEMALE PEDIATRIC BREAST - DELAYED TANGENTIAL EXCISION VERSUS SPONTANEOUS ESCHAR SEPARATION, Annals of plastic surgery, 33(1), 1994, pp. 66-67
A 2-year-old girl sustained full-thickness burns to the anterior chest
. Skin grafting was performed after spontaneous eschar separation in 1
breast and after delayed tangential excision after wound demarcation
in the other breast. Both breasts developed equally, indicating that c
areful tangential excision to viable tissue after wound demarcation in
this vital area could be performed safely.
