Abstract
The visualization of the data obtained with scanning probe microscopes can be improved by the use of virtual reality software which has rece ntly become available commercially. One such software program was appl ied to images obtained with an atomic force microscope. The mapping ca pabilities of this new visualization technique as well as the images w ere quite striking when viewed in virtual reality.
