This paper presents those aspects of sociolinguistics which emphasize
dynamic face-to-face language interaction regarding Saudi mode of gree
ting rituals. It shows a series of phraseology employed by the greeter
and the greetee in situations of communicatively potential etiquette
of politeness formulas and the dimensions of gestures being considered
. A general overall awareness of the assigned rigid variables such as
the spatio-temporal setting, participants lead to positive attitude to
successful communication. Violations of these social greeting rituals
lead to undesired consequences or to a provocation of violence result
ed in misunderstanding or misinterepretation of the verbal and nonverb
al behavior in the Saudi settings.
