I. Abreu et al., MODIFIED PLASTIDS IN VIRUS-DISEASED PLANTS OF VINCA-DIFFORMIS L, Journal of submicroscopic cytology and pathology, 26(3), 1994, pp. 301-304
In Vinca difformis L. leaves, particles resembling virus were found in
the cytoplasm and nuclei of phloem parenchyma cells. Such virus-like
particles were isodiametric averaging 23 nm and occurred either scatte
red or aggregated. In other cells the particles were not visible but v
esicles surrounded by a single membrane were observed in the stroma of
the plastids. Some vesicles contained electron-dense bodies (plastogl
obules).
