B. Knobel et al., INFLUENCE OF THE THERMOMECHANICAL PARAMETERS ON THE MORPHOLOGY OF A POLYAMIDE (PA-6) AND POLYPROPYLENE BLEND, International polymer processing, 9(2), 1994, pp. 119-129
The morphology of a polypropylene and polyamide blend has been investi
gated with the Rheoplast rheometer which allows us to apply a well def
ined thermomechanical history before the capillary flow. The polymer f
low in the Rheoplast has been modeled using a homogenization hypothesi
s for the rheology. Correlations between the different observed morpho
logies and shear rates, elongational rates as well as dissipated energ
ies are discussed.
