Earlier experimental and computational studies on peroxidase catalyzed
oxidation of NADH have ignored the role of methylene blue in the reac
tion system. Experiments confirm that the reaction of MB+ and NADH is
quite fast and should be taken into consideration. An alternative mode
l involving the participation of methylene blue in the oscillatory rea
ction has been proposed which also predicts oscillations according to
computer results reported in the paper.
