Abstract
This report describes an unusual cephalocele originating in the tempor obasal region and protruding through the sphenopetral area into the or al cavity. A rapid and nonaggressive endoscopic procedure was performe d. The relationship between this type of cephalocele, spontaneous ante roinferior temporal encephaloceles, and nasopharyngeal brain heterotop ia is discussed.
