Abstract
In a recent paper, Sprekels and Zheng study global existence of smooth solutions to a model of phase-field type for the kinetics of phase tr ansitions, which was proposed by Penrose and Fife. In this paper, we s tudy this model with constraint and show existence of solutions to tha t problem. (C) 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
