Interaction in dyads formed by pairs of a) aggressive criminals or b)
supposedly socially well adapted reliable drivers was examined by the
''Building of a Tower'' method. Qualitative and quantitative analyses
of taped interaction revealed substantial differences between both gro
ups in mutual interaction within each of the two samples. The communic
ation pattern of aggressors - compared to that of reliable drivers - d
isplayed sharp role imbalance (becoming either ''a speaker'' or ''a fo
llower'', non-reacting to partner, s words), less frequent questioning
and turn-taking in conversation, less frequent social-emotional conte
nt of dialogues and apparently lower level of empathy.
