Abstract
This article presents an extension of the commonly used calibration me thod for Radar Cross Section (R.C.S.) measurements on vectorial networ k analyzer. The classical one [1, 2] based on the dynamical range of t he measurement system with a single reference causes distortion. Speci ally this type of problem occurs if the dynamical range is poor or the target return level is very low in comparison with the calibration re ference. The proposed technique uses at least two measurements of know n targets and then adds more referenced point to the system. Then a ne w dynamical scaling is obtained using this technique. This is very int eresting in the measurements Of targets with wide dynamical return ran ge. The applications of the new and existing methods are compared.
