Abstract
A new method, based on the precision measurement of ultrasonic velocit y in a system consisting of the studied solute and two immiscible solv ents, is developed for the determination of the partition coefficient. The method has been used for the determination of the ethanol partiti on coefficient between lipid and water solvents.
