Ad. Grishina et al., PHOTOCHEMICAL AMPLIFICATION OF INITIAL PHOTOINDUCED EFFECTS IN POLY(HYDROXYAMINO ESTER)-BASED DONOR-ACCEPTOR LAYERS, High energy chemistry, 28(4), 1994, pp. 299-303
The processes of self-sensitization and chemical sensitization of ligh
t-sensitive layers composed of a polymeric donor poly(hydroxyamino est
er) and an acceptor hexabromodimethyl sulfone were studied. The effect
of the addition of dimethylaminobenzaldehyde on the apparent quantum
yield of the formation of a polycationic product of a Michler hydrol t
ype that is responsible for the absorption in the region lambda(max) =
630 nm and a change in polymer solubility was considered. The exposur
e of polymer layers to 436-nm light at a fluence of 180,12, and approx
imately 0.2 mJ/cm2 decreases the rate of polymer dissolution in nonpol
ar solvents by a factor of 20 for the layers without additives, with t
he additive, and under conditions of self-sensitization (optical inten
sification of the latent image), respectively.
