Abstract
The problem of the effect of the bead of a butt welded joint and relia bility of magnetographic inspection is examined and the currently avai lable methods of suppressing the weld signal are discussed. On the bas is of a theoretical model of the surface dipole the authors an algorit hm for suppressing the bead signal, the efficiency of the algorithm wa s examined by numerical modeling.
