Abstract
The conformation of the cyclododecyl ring has slightly distorted 422 s ymmetry. The molecules are packed in a head-to-head arrrangement. The hydrophilic parts of neighbouring molecular layers are connected via c oordination to Na+ and hydrogen bonds.
