Abstract
The pentafluoronitrosobenzene C6F5NO has been shown from infrared spec tral, F-19 NMR spectral and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies t o undergo oxidation at the para-position upon reaction with [Os3H(mu-H )(CO)10(PPh3)] to afford [Os3(mu-H)(CO)10(PPh3)(ONC6F4O)](I). The arse nic- and stibine- analogues of I ([Os3(mu-H)(CO)10(MPh3)(ONC6F4O)) (M = As, Sb)) were also isolated.
