Abstract
The alkylation of Ln(OBut)3 with AlMe3 leads to the mixed-bridged alky l-alkoxy octahedral complexes [Ln(mu-OBut)3(mu-Me)3(AlMe2)3] (Ln = Pr, Nd or Y). The neodymium derivative was characterised by single-crysta l X-ray diffraction. The H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra of the diamagnetic y ttrium complex showed the presence in solution of both fac and mer iso mers.
