Abstract
A theoretical investigation is reported of the possibility of the mani festation of the tertiary pyroelectric effect as a result of inhomogen eous heating of cubic crystals belonging to the class 43mBAR. Detectio n of this pyroelectric effect is reported. The effect was used to cons truct transmission-type power sensors made of ZnSe crystals, which als o functioned as exit windows in pulsed CO and CO2 lasers.
