Sb. Dugdale et al., APPLICATION OF MAXIMUM-ENTROPY TO EXTRACT FERMI-SURFACE TOPOLOGY FROMPOSITRON-ANNIHILATION MEASUREMENT, Journal of physics. Condensed matter, 6(31), 1994, pp. 120000435-120000443
Over the past two decades or so, the positron annihilation technique h
as successfully probed Fermi surface (Fs) topologies in a variety of m
etals and alloy systems. However, in electronically complex systems, d
ue to the relatively weak FS Signals compared with those arising from
annihilations from a large number of full bands, possible strong posit
ron wave function comes into effect. Here, we introduce a new way of l
ooking at the problem using maximum-entropy enhancement of the data. T
est results from the simple FS picture of vanadium are presented.
