Abstract
A new design for coupling coplanar waveguide (CPW) to microstrip anten nas has been developed. The coupling method consists of direct apertur e coupling from the coplanar waveguide feed to the microstrip antenna. The advantage of this method is the use of a single substrate for the entire CPW and antenna circuit as opposed to previous methods of coup ling in which multilayer substrates were used.
