The c-axis magnetoresistivity as a function of temperature T and field
H for fields parallel to the c axis is experimentally investigated fo
r single-crystalline (La1-xSrx)2CuO4 (X = 0.068). It is argued that th
e observed Lorentz force free magnetoresistive phenomena cannot be acc
ounted for by previously considered mechanisms. By contrast, they can
be explained by the extended Josephson coupling model, which takes int
o account both effective thermal energy and anisotropy. Based on this
extended model, it is shown that all the magnetoresistivity curves obt
ained in H//I//c at various constant temperatures could be nicely scal
ed onto a single curve without any adjustable parameter in a wide tran
sition region.
