L. Grossi, THE PHOTOCHEMICALLY INDUCED OXIDATION OF ANILINE BY HYDROPEROXIDES - AN ELECTRON-PARAMAGNETIC-RESONANCE STUDY .2., Tetrahedron, 50(31), 1994, pp. 9511-9516
The oxidation reaction of aniline by tertiary hydroperoxides, induced
photochemically, was studied. The peculiar radical intermediates, nitr
oxides and peroxy radicals, involved in the reaction mechanism were de
tected and identified by EPR spectroscopy. The presence of these inter
mediates confirm that PhNO is the first product of the oxidation of an
iline and the PhNH. radical as its precursor.
