Bv. Lebedev et al., CALORIMETRIC STUDY OF THERMODYNAMICS OF PRODUCTION OF POLYBUTENE-1, POLYPENTENE-1, 4-METHYLPENTENE-1 AND PROPERTIES OF REAGENTS BETWEEN 0-KAND 670-K, Journal of thermal analysis, 41(6), 1994, pp. 1371-1377
The heat capacities C(p)degrees of polybutene-1, polypentene-1, poly-4
-methylpentene-1 and 4-methylpentene-1 were studied calorimetrically f
rom 6 to (500-700) K. Temperatures, enthalpies of melting of various c
rystalline forms and the parameters of the glass transition were deter
mined. The thermodynamic functions H-degrees(T)-H-degrees(0), S-degree
s(T) and G-degrees(T)-H-degrees(0) were calculated between 0 K and (50
0-700) K. From the calorimetric values obtained and literature data, t
he thermodynamic characteristics of the following processes were estim
ated for the corresponding alkenes-1, and cis- and trans-alkenes-2: th
e polymerization of alkenes-1, the monomer-isomerization polymerizatio
n of cis- and trans-alkenes-2 to polyalkenes-1 and the isomerization o
f cis- and trans-alkenes-2 to alkenes-1 in the same temperature interv
al at standard pressure.
