Abstract
A close spatial association exists between secondary and primary Cu-Pb -Zn minerals in the Aggeneys area, Bushmanland, South Africa. A wide v ariety of metamorphic and non-metamorphic indicator mineral assemblage s occur within this area which may successfully be utilized in mineral exploration programmes. The mode of occurrence, associations and para geneses of secondary silicates, oxides, sulphates, phosphates, carbona tes, carbonate-sulphates and chlorides are described, while their impo rtance as indicators of mineralization is stressed.
