J. Raultberthelot et L. Angely, AFFINITY OF THE POLY-DB18-C6 RESINS TOWARDS NI2+ CATIONS AND VARIOUS ORGANIC SUBSTRATES, Synthetic metals, 65(1), 1994, pp. 55-64
The modification of electrode surfaces by nickel, to promote catalytic
hydrogenation, is of interest to electrochemists. The first part of t
his article deals with attempts to increase the amount of Ni2+ cations
in the poly-DB18-C6 matrix. The amount of Ni2+ can be increased by pr
eviously inserting in the polymeric matrix a chemical known to form st
able complexes with this cation. In the second part are presented firs
t results of the insertion in poly-DB18-C6 of various chemicals presen
ting potential chemical, electrochemical or even biological interest i
n view of their use as electrode modifiers (to accelerate charge trans
fer) or even biosensors.
