Abstract
We propose three XUV laser schemes in the 30-50-nm wavelength region t hat can be driven by 10-Hz ultrashort-pulse terawatt laser systems. Tu nneling ionization by circularly polarized radiation produces both the ions and hot electrons necessary to excite the upper laser level.
