Abstract
The sulfhydrolysis of the glycolimidates 3 affords 2-hydroxy thiocarbo xylic O-esters (4), which on treatment with phenylhydrazine give glyco lohydrazonates of type 5. Under suitable conditions the reaction of 5 with phosgene or 1,1'-thiocarbonyldiimidazole produces 3,6-dihydro-2H- 1,3,4-oxadiazin-2-ones(thiones) 6 as stable compounds.
