Abstract
Spigelian hernias can be difficult to diagnose and localize before sur gical exploration. Four patients with abdominal wall hernias underwent laparoscopic diagnosis and repair of their spigelian hernias. The lap aroscopic approach affords an accurate appraisal of the defect and a d irect means of repair. Extensive dissection was avoided, and recovery was prompt.
