Jebp. Pinto et al., EFFECT OF DIFFERENT EXPLANTS AND BAP CONC ENTRATION ON SHOOT MULTIPLICATION OF KIELMEYERA-CORIACEA, Pesquisa agropecuaria brasileira, 29(6), 1994, pp. 867-873
Nodal and apical segments were immerged in MS medium with six differen
t concentrations of benzilaminopurine (BAP). The nodal segments presen
ted greater ability for shoot production as compared to the apical seg
ments. The percentage of shoots with 1.0 cm or higher was attained wit
h BAP 0.5 mg/l using nodal segments. Both types of explants were very
sensitive to high BAP levels and were damaged during growth and develo
pment.
