Abstract
The only and first vertebrate of the Priabonian outcrop of Brendola (I taly) has just been discovered. It is a fish belonging to the family H olocentridae. It differs from the Italian genera from the Tertiary (Mo nte Bolca) and is a new record in the history of this family known fro m the Upper Cretaceous up to now. Additions are given on one of the pa laeoenvironment at Priabonian time in the Colli Berici, according to t he data already deduced from the microfauna.
