Abstract
An algorithm is considered for determining the layout for placing the minimum num drives to ensure a given accuracy when profiling the surfa ce shape of a controllable mirror with a circular aperture. Examples o f calculations are given, and an analysis is carried out that makes it possible to simplify the search for the optimum placement of the driv es on the surface of the plate.
