Abstract
in many Mossbauer investigations of steel or iron based materials iron carbides play an important role. In Mossbauer phase analysis it is ve ry helpful if the hyperfine parameters of the various iron carbides ar e precisely known. The Mossbauer results for M7C3 and M23C6 as reveale d by the investigation of various steels and pure carbides electrochem ically isolated from steels are reported.
