A 49-year-old man developed bilateral sudden hearing loss followed by
cerebral infarction and cytomegalovirus (CMV) encephalitis. Autopsy co

and also that CMV infection is more than an opportunistic infection a
nd may participate in the cognitive manifestations in IML.
